Castello Pasquini and its park

The castle is nineteenth-century, built on the highest point of the headland by the Patrone family and later passed to the Pasquini. It now belongs to the municipality and the park is public: four hectares of stone pines, holm oaks and paths running down towards the sea, with the gate a few steps from the main square.

In summer the courtyard becomes a stage. The contemporary theatre and dance festival held here in July brings companies you would otherwise see in the big cities, and on performance nights the village stays awake late.

For the rest of the year the park is where people take children and dogs, and the nicest way to walk from the centre down to the beach.
